"The deeper I dive…
The more I float…"

The bubble here is vast and safe. There is an outer physical Peace while the inner one battles too often. Still. Safe is a notion that has been lingering in my thoughts for a while in the midst of recognizing the changes within this World of ours. There is contentment here, there is no self gratification with a look at me pathway as the crumbs of others at times through open pages still make their appearances trying to raise a pedestal wearing out thin as if such pedestal had a Life it would only want to go and disappear, hide. Mind your own business I tell myself. You have plenty on your plate, lets not disrespect other’s poetic and to me too often worthless bursts playing  the acts of seeing and be seen. Agree to disagree. Be content with these few acres I call The Oasis, be thrilled to have three million acres to roam within and 1100 miles of unpaved roads. Let other screams and wave their banners, they like the attention, the provoking thoughts which make them rise every morning and finish their days with a smile of entitlement. Don’t be so harsh if our reality does not match the ones of others. Don’t be angry of slight set backs because of some physical pain which now once again is under control. More or less. A band aid maybe [surely!] for the time being but with a huge hope in the near future.

What does it matter anyhow? No one can burst my bubble, our bubble.

I did something I rarely do while on to Midland and back to see some Dr’s. I listened to the news. Now, those were thought provoking ones. Is everyone these days so shielded by them to the point where it is the norm to listen to the atrocities going on only to wait for the weather forecast without raising a single eyebrow? Fortunately, or often unfortunately, I am a thinker. Always have been and even more so now due to much time on my hands. The news left an imprint on me. They did not come in through one ear and out the other. They took me back to day one as I call it, as far as my mind could handle the birth of us Human Beings and started thinking about what went wrong? There is a lot of right, as yes, the media does not advertise the good, but as I heard it, there is also a lot of bad. The ramifications od changes are intense all the way down to my Medical care. More than ever when back here I hurried up through the gate of our bubble. There is really no gates… but, I have my own.

Shootings, theft, crimes, lies, gang violence displacing so many people, refugees… In this day and age "refugees" hit me harder than all. My Grand Parents were refugees. Millions of people with only a shirt on their back and gripping tightly their children hands escaping their Motherland. All was beyond my comprehension and still is as the answers to the why will never materialize. That is just how we are wired and I feel lucky to be who I am and where I am. Extremely happy. My opinions od course are my own. I don’t advertise them as many do. Again, what would it matter? Sometimes I will tease a Friend or two about their own opinions, political ones or others, as, I don’t take pleasure in it but it still strikes me funny [odd?] when they turn red, get upset while their wrinkles deepen as a crumbled map gone so wrong because they are only lead by? Blind beliefs? I am guessing most everyone must have a faith and opinion towards a right or a left but do not stand in the middle as I do and accept disagreements.

Are we "on the road"? "off the road"? There is a certain inactivity that has become foreign to me with moments I tremendously enjoy and others while kicking the dusty grounds wanting to bolt out. I continue taking it all in one day at the time as there is hope for a better physical condition in the near future while the a Dr’s fifth opinion for my spine situation leaves me content with a great new Neurosurgeon. Those are many opinions, many visits one step at the time and it paid off. I knew my tenacity and hope would. I am still waiting for one more, the second one, spinal steroid shot which will take me to January and then on surgery when I will be laid up for a month. Or so he said… Hopefully the hips can wait for next spring!

Our Friends in Midland cannot harbor us for a month. I appreciated their honesty about it to the fact that our presence would be too much in their home for that length of a time, as already having spend ten days there lately became overwhelming for them. So starts now the search where we could stay for that month. We don’t know anyone in Midland. Thinking positive that another door will open up to us in a couple months. It is not as we are high maintenance as the expression goes, just there though… present with a yard for Spirit. Of course I should not think that far ahead but I have to.

A Friend of mine brought my attention to a passage George Carlin had said and while I read it after writing this, it all made so much sense.

"The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.
We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.
Remember to spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.
Remember, to say, ‘I love you’ to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away."
~ George Carlin ~
