“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”

When I found out and visited this Castle being built by “one” man with no blue prints and no plans, since 1969, Jim Bishop, tell you you the truth my back started hurting! You can read the whole story on his website “Bishop Castle”. An eye opener for sure and a must to meander within. And no, we did not go to the top!

I so appreciate your sharing of these pictures. I am in awe of this castle artist and think of the extreme number of hours and his back put into this his dream. My brother is such an artist but on his son’s small home – now its becoming a ‘hotel’, I chide. I have enjoyed all your pictures and you soul-sharing, showing me places I’ve dreamed about for 70 years – too late now for my dreams, so a huge “Thank you”. The desert pics recently ‘blew me away’.
