I keep telling myself "this has to stop…". Eating! I cannot however help it. Louisiana’s seafood tastes better than anywhere else. I am told it is the muddy waters of the Mississippi blending in with the Gulf. I believe it. We are here in New Iberia for two more days and daily it has been shrimp and crawfish. Blue point crabs are not yet ready. Maybe a good thing! Mixed with the best French bread ever and topped with ginger cake my pants are tighter than ever. In a couple days we will be back where we started 89 months ago, roughly 2700 nights and days later. The emotions are running wild for sure. I cannot write about it right now. Times are too powerful.
Enjoy the photos from a great day [and more food!] at the Dragon Boats Festival in New Iberia. It was quite a fun time if nothing else taking photos of the various teams members.
